My favorite game at Army OneSource is Greedy Greedy. Created by K.R. Engineering, Greedy Greedy is one of our most popular games and since we’re hosting it today, I thought it would be a good time to tell you all about it.
Greedy Greedy is a simple, but highly addictive fast-paced dice game for two to eight players. The objective of the game is to get as many points as you can without getting too greedy.
It’s easy to join. Simply right-click on the table and select Play from the menu. The game begins with the first player to be seated. In turn, each player will ROLL the dice and choose dice of point value by clicking on them. A player may roll again and add to his/her points and there is no limit to how many times you can roll as long as you get a die with point value. Otherwise you bust, losing your turn and your points. That’s why it’s so tricky.
Picture this. You roll the dice and earn 300 points. Great, you think, and you roll again. Another 100 points. Awesome. So you roll again. 50 points. Pretty good. And you roll again. Bust! All your points gone. The trick to Greedy Greedy is knowing when to stop. I confess that I’m pretty terrible at this.
How does the scoring work? The only numbers that are worth anything alone are 1 (100 points) and 5 (50 points). Three of a kind, three pairs, and a straight are also worth points. The best you can do in a single roll is six 1s for 8000 points.
Greedy Greedy is a a really fun game and a great way to spend time with friends. You’ll get the hang of it quickly when you play and there are moderators and friends nearby to help you along so don’t be afraid to jump in and join us.
